Leon is a junior at Mountain Lakes High School in Mountain Lakes, NJ. He is interested in both biology and computer science, and how to effectively connect the two to solve real-world problems. During his summer ’19 internship he helped to reorganize and catalog laboratory materials (specifically microscope slides) as part of an ongoing project to transition into a LIMS (laboratory information management system). This would increase the efficiency of the lab by automating repetitive tasks and reducing human error.
