Home for Sania is Los Angeles, California, where she is a rising Senior studying Human Biology at Pitzer College. After graduating, she plans to attend medical school and serve as a physician in culturally diverse communities.
Over the summer she worked with EIPM Director Elemento Olivier, Ph.D., and Hiranmayi Ravichandran at EIPM to utilize Imaging Mass Cytometry (IMC) to explore the neuropathology of an Alzheimer’s Disease mouse brain model. Once the antibody panel was decided, she conjugated antibodies with their respective rare earth lanthanide metal stains for the mouse brain tissue. After staining, her group used CYTOF and Hyperion pairing to create images for single cell analysis.
