Yunhan graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in Computer Science. She is going into her second-year masters program at New York University, where she studies Information Systems. She is interested in applying various data analysis technologies doing clustering, characterization, comparison, and prediction in big medical data.
Yunhan works with EIPM computational biologist Bhavneet Bhinder on characterization of the tumor microenvironment (TME) in cancer. Utilizing RNA-seq gene expression profiling, she applies and tests cell type deconvolution tools, generates and applies statistical tests on optimized tumor sample clusters to explain diverse factors, identify associations on cell type deconvolution of the TME, and explores the potential to translate these findings in immunotherapy.
