We are now accepting applications for the 2025 MCC & EIPM Summer Internship Program! The 7-week program for high school and college students runs from June 25 to August 15th, and provides them with hands-on mentored experiential research projects related to cancer and precision medicine with the goal to encourage the pursuit of STEM careers. The EIPM seeks a Translational Research Specialist to oversee and coordinate lab activities associated with specimen processing and novel research assays and processes. Under direction of platform managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating downstream translational research sample prioritization and assay execution. News Coverage & Awards Our Chief Research Officer Dr. Bishoy M. Faltas published the UroToday Expert Commentaries "Benefits of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in Older Patients with Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer," on December 16th, and "Prognostic Value of a B Cell Exhaustion Gene Signature in Bladder Cancer," on December 19th. The December 2nd WCM Newsroom article "Landmark AI Project Harnesses Voice to Diagnose Disease, Releases First Data," explores how EIPM researchers led by Director Dr. Olivier Elemento and colleagues, with investigators from USF Health, as part of an expansive, multi-institutional project investigating voice as a biomarker for disease, have reached a significant milestone by publishing the first version of their clinically validated voice dataset to an online artificial intelligence platform where it will be an invaluable resource for researchers across the globe.
