Englander Institute for Precision Medicine

For Clinicians

The Englander Institute collaborates with clinical departments across NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the nation to provide a comprehensive interpretation of patient genomes. We are a resource for clinicians to make effective use of genomic data to optimize patient care.

Since launching New York State’s first clinical whole exome test, we have broadened access to genetic testing for patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. Test results reveal each patient’s genetic blueprint and empower our clinicians to diagnose and treat patients more precisely. In certain instances, a patient’s blueprint will identify new lines of therapy, including targeted therapies designed for patients with a specific genetic profile.

Like many studies at Weill Cornell Medicine, the Englander Institite has developed and works according to research protocols that allow for patient enrollment. View our Precision Medicine studies here.
