| Abstract | Calreticulin (CALR) exposure on the cell surface is known to deliver robust pro-phagocytic signals to myeloid cells. In Nature, Sen Santara et al. demonstrate that surface-exposed CALR also operates as an endogenous activator of natural killer (NK) cells. Collectively, these findings suggest that CALR exposure orchestrates multiple facets of innate immunosurveillance. |
